LPS Ultra-Flat Scale

Ultra-flat scales provide an ideal solution for industries where fast and easy weighing is a top priority. With a height of just 4.5 cm, they do not need to be pit-mounted, making installation simpler and more cost-effective. Unlike conventional scales there is no need for steep, lengthy ramps, because the flat design allows pallets or other heavy items to be rolled on effortlessly using a pallet jack.

The stainless-steel version is particularly advantageous in the food and chemical industries as it resists moisture and chemicals, while the painted version is an excellent choice for warehousing, logistics or agricultural environments. The ultra-flat design not only speeds up workflows but also improves safety, since operators can carry out weighing tasks with less lifting and less physical effort. Whether on an industrial production line, in a packaging plant or in warehouse logistics, this type of scale offers a reliable and practical solution for efficient operations.

Design and construction:

The LPS industrial platform scale is a versatile instrument for various industrial and commercial environments where a low-profile, accurate and reliable weighing solution is required. Its robust frame operates with four high-performance load cells that guarantee stable and precise results even under heavy loads. The four-cell design ensures uniform load distribution, which not only increases measurement accuracy but also ensures the long-term durability of the structure.

With a height of just 4.5 cm, the LPS scale stands out from conventional industrial scales: it does not need to be pit-mounted and can be used easily without long, steep ramps. Its low profile allows goods on pallet jacks or trolleys to be weighed quickly and conveniently. As standard, every scale is supplied with one access ramp for rolling on goods moved by pallet jack or on castors. If required, a ramp can be fitted at both ends; the second ramp is available as an option.

It is important to note that we refer to the usable surface area of the scale — the area where the actual weighing takes place. At each side of the scale a U-shaped fold is required to house the load cells. There is a 140 mm fold on each side, so the overall width is 280 mm greater than the usable surface.

The scale is available in stainless-steel and professionally painted finishes, making it suitable for the food industry, logistics, waste management, manufacturing and other industrial applications. The top plate is made from hard-wearing 4 mm steel sheet and can optionally be supplied with a 4 mm chequer plate. The LPS platform scale is also available in a customisable configuration — either surface-mounted or pit-mounted — and can be fitted with access ramps to fully meet individual logistics and warehousing requirements.

The scale contains no moving parts, which not only reduces the risk of breakdown but also minimises maintenance requirements. Its hard-wearing construction guarantees reliable long-term operation even under intensive use, making the LPS platform scale an optimal choice for every industrial and commercial setting where a low profile, accuracy and durability are key priorities.

Why choose an ultra-flat scale?

Easy access: No need to build high ramps — loading is straightforward
Fast and efficient: Saves time because items can simply be rolled onto the scale
Safe: The low profile reduces the risk of lifting-related injuries
Multiple versions available: Stainless-steel version for chemical or wet environments; painted version for standard industrial use
