Efficient and Accurate Potato and Onion Bagging?

The equipment is suitable for filling potatoes filled in the storage hopper into an open bag with a two-stage belt feeder, a measuring cell and a digital instrument.

Weighing application

The bagging scale when installed, it is suitable for the dosing of tuberous crops (potatoes) in coarse-fine grades, as well as their precise measurement and bagging. 

The bagging scale automatically loads and measures the product.  

In the case of filling, the bag acts as a measuring container, so the scale measures the product in the placed bag after determining the weight of the bag. The amount of mass to be measured (5-30 kg) and the dosing parameters can be freely programmed on the keyboard of the scale’s measuring and control instrument. After switching on the machine and programming the desired weight value, the only task of the operator is to place the empty bag on the filling tube and start loading. The scale automatically loads the desired weight in two stages, after which the bag can be removed from the scale and a new empty bag can be placed on it, and then everything starts over. The bagging scale has a bag counter and weight summing function and the so-called ensures accurate measurements by operating a self-learning program.

Installation:

• The scale must be installed in such a way that the product can be continuously filled into the receiving hopper created at the feeding belt.
• To ensure adequate performance and accuracy, continuous material refilling must be guaranteed.
• The previously fixed accuracy of the scale can be ensured if a graded size product is installed out.
• The task of the scale operator is to attach the mouth of the bag to the scale, and then to remove the filled bag from the test table.

The user provides:

• Covered closed operating space
• Continuous filling of the storage hopper
• Power supply for operating the weighing instrument
• Operating temperature
  0°C – +40°C with normal supply air
  10°C – +40°C with calculated air
• Support staff, with lifting equipment, during commissioning

Mode of operation, service

Bag machine is semi-automatic, the crop is placed directly in the bag and the measurement is done here after the bag is placed. After switching on the machine, the only task of the operator is to place the empty bags on the filling tube. Doses are measured automatically. 

Weighing technical service:

After putting the scale into operation, it performs the following controls with the measuring electronics software:

• Measures the current bag weight
• Controls the coarse-fine dispensers

The weighing control electronics of the scale displays the following technical display:

• Current bag weight, number of filled bags display
• Performance display (t/h)
• Limit value management (e.g. 150 bags)

The scale’s self-learning program compares the set and filled weight values, and in case of deviations, ensures reliable and accurate measurements. The scale electronics also displays error messages on its display (e.g. the material does not arrive). All text displays are in Hungarian.
