Project title: Employment of Interns at Metripond-M93 Scale Manufacturing Ltd.
Contracted support amount: HUF 4,607,622
Support intensity (%): 100%

In this project, with the help of a corporate internship coordinator, a recently graduated welder-locksmith and an instrument technician-mechatronics intern were employed at the company. The interns had no prior work experience; their task at the company was to gain production experience, acquire everyday workplace routine, integrate into the workplace community, and learn and comply with occupational safety rules. With the help of the corporate internship coordinator, an important task was to acquire quality workmanship, and over time, to perform independent quality work.

The welder-locksmith’s task, under the guidance of the corporate internship coordinator, was to perform arc and flame welding and plasma cutting tasks. The following professional skills were acquired at Metripond-M93 Scale Manufacturing Ltd.: spot welding operations, learning about and then welding various weld seam types, proficient reading of welding drawings. During the practical period, this intern gained proficiency in CO2 (135) welding technology. With these skills, the intern became a certified welder, which provides an opportunity in the labour market for filling positions requiring highly qualified expertise in the future.

The instrument technician-mechatronics intern’s task was to complete the assembly of warehouse scales and to participate in the commissioning of scales at external workplaces. The intern was also responsible for managing IT data within their scope and maintaining contact with partners. During the work, the mechatronics intern acquired the commissioning and operational practices of equipment with artificial intelligence. The experience gained contributed to the intern being able to work as a specialist with comprehensive practical technical knowledge and a systems-oriented approach.

Within the framework of the project, to assist the intern’s work, small and large angle grinders, flame cutting equipment, hand drills, as well as a desktop computer, monitor, Windows operating system, and a laptop for compiling technical documentation at external work sites were procured.
