Our Beginnings and Heritage
Metripond – M93 Scale Manufacturing Ltd. looks back on nearly one and a half centuries of history in the world of scales. Conrad Schember founded the company in Budapest in 1878, which relocated to Hódmezővásárhely in 1952 following nationalisation. Until the mid-1980s, the company was a key player in the scale industry of Central Europe, developing custom scales, crane scales and tank scales. After the challenges of the political transition, in 1993, today’s Metripond-M93 Ltd. was established, once again becoming a leader in the manufacture and development of industrial scales. After a difficult early period, the company successfully stabilised and continuously expanded its product range. The company placed special emphasis on quality and customer satisfaction. The products of Metripond-M93 Ltd. were manufactured using the most modern technology and met the highest industrial standards of the time.

Over the past decades, Metripond-M93 Ltd. has not only weathered economic challenges but has also successfully grown. The company continuously invested in modernising its machinery and expanding its product range to meet the latest technological demands of industrial weighing. To ensure quality, we introduced the ISO 9001 quality management system as early as 2004, and since 2023, the ISO 14001 environmental management certificate also guarantees that we carry out our work responsibly and sustainably. Our scales hold type-approval certificates accepted in every country of the European Union, so our partners can be confident that they receive the highest standards from us. In addition, by building a nationwide service and distributor network, we provide faster and more efficient support to our partners.
